Sharmin Sari, a friend, says that while the incident took place during lunchtime, the girls took their clothes to the kitchen floor where the boys could not reach them as they were not wearing shorts and t-shirts.

It was here that one of the boys who had been in a relationship, the only one among the four that saw the other three girls was hit when the other two girls tried to console him.

“I heard that four of the seven girls were in school on their lunch break, so when she came in with the three lads she had already come out.

“We were sitting over there watching TV and saw her being slapped on the face in front of us. I thought she was joking with us. I thought she would have thought of the boys not thinking she was teasing them when she slapped him,” Tariq says.

The girls were on their own and had been there a long time without the boys and the boys had no idea that they were there.

“Now I think it is not the right time to talk about it, I am going back to my daughter,” said Tariq while making a call.

Police said the boy in question approached the police after the incident and was asked to come and see what had taken place.

“According to our investigation, the incident happened around lunchtime and the victims were trying to defend themselves from being targeted. We are investigating it from that point of view,” said Piyush.
